Feijoada de Mariscos (White Beans with Seafood)

Ingredients:

- 250 gr of white beans
- 100 gr of bacon
- 50 gr of blood sausage
- ½ dl of olive oil
- 1 soup spoon of butter
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 2 smashed chilis
- 2 soup spoons of tomato pulp
- 1 cluster of parsley and bay
- 1 kg of crab paws
- ½ kg of shrimps
- ½ kg of clams
- salt to taste
- 1 chopped cluster of coriander

1- Put the beans inside water on the day before. On the day, cook them, not too much, with bacon and blood sausage.

2- Cook the shrimps, take off the gut and peel them. Cast aside 2 without peeling. Cook the crab, peel it and tear into shreds the crab meat. Cast aside 2 little paws without peeling and tearing into shreds. Cook the clams and take off the shells. Cast aside 4 without taking the shells. Keep every water from this cookings in a recipient.

3- In a pan, fry the onions, the garlics and the chilis on olive oil and butter. Stir continuously and when it becomes gold add the tomato pulp, the parsley and the bay, the chopped blood sausage, the bacon cut into pieces and a little bit of the water from cooking the beans. Let it boil for a while. Add the beans and let it boil for 5 minutes.

4- Then add the shrimps, the crab and the clams. Let it cook for a few minutes. Taste it and rectify the salt, chili and water (from the beans or from the seafood).

5- When it's ready to serve add the chopped coriander and a little bit of olive oil and mix everything. Adorn your meal with the seafood you kept apart and serve with white rice.
