Chacuti de Galinha (Chicken Chacuti)

Ingredients:

- 1 chicken
- 6 chilis
- 1 soup spoon of smashed coriander seeds
- 1 tea spoon of saffron
- 1 tea spoon of cumin
- 1 tea spoon of cinnamon
- 10 cloves
- 1 soup spoon of cardamom
- ¼ of nutmeg
- coconut milk
- 4 big onions
- 4 smashed garlic cloves
- 1 soup spoon of lard
- 1 soup spoon of olive oil
- tamarind and salt to taste

1- Take the spices to the oven until golden and then smash all together in a mortar.

2- Fry the smashed garlic and the chopped onions on olive oil and lard until golden. Add the chicken cut into pieces stiring continuously until golden. Add the coconut milk.

3- In a recipient mix a coffee spoon of tamarind with a drop of tepid water. Add the smashed spices and the tamarind to the chicken. Cover the pan and cook on low heat and wait until stew to get sauce. When it's cooked serve with white rice.
